Q. Does the Profit Margin calculation account for sales tax?
A. No. The on-line calculator on the Calculating Your Profit page and the Profit Margin Calculation Worksheet on the Free Tools and Downloads page do not account for sales tax, if any. Depending on your state, some Distributors may be required to collect sales tax on the state's behalf. If that is the case, you will need to subtract the amount of sales tax paid from the profit calculations to get your true profit.
